Hello! Are you torn between summer and fall foods? One day you want a cold salad, the next you're reaching for the soup pot. I'm feeling that shift in the garden and in the lake. A dip in the lake this past weekend felt A LOT different than it did two weeks ago! In the garden, the tomatoes are finishing up, the peppers are turning colour and the cabbage is done! Fall is definitely coming in fast. Judging by the searches on my website, quick and cozy foods are top of mind right now. If you haven't checked out these recipes yet, have a look: Pear and Arugula Salad with Walnuts, Cranberries and Feta - I love this fall salad with Arugula or mixed greens. It's one of my go to's when company is coming or I need to bring a salad somewhere. Easy Roasted Vegetable and Halloumi Sheet Pan Dinner - One pan, seasonal vegetables, and squeaky halloumi with Darryl's favourite sauce of all times! One Pan Egg Roll Stir Fry - A perfect quick and easy weeknight dinner featuring peppers, cabbage and your favourite ground meat. We had it the other night and were reminded just how good it is. Chicken and Apple Salad - Seems like people are searching for lunch and snack ideas that offer more nutrients and protein than many commercial snacks. This chicken and apple salad fits the bill. Roasted Tomato Soup - If you're still working on a bounty of tomatoes and are in the mood for a warm, cozy soup, this tomato soup hits the spot.. What's on your table this week, still holding onto summer or already deep into fall cooking? Need more lunch inspiration? Wishing you all the best, |
