Name a vegetable that you never really crave, yet use almost every day? It's not colourful or trendy and it's definitiely not the star of a veggie platter. But, without it, most of our favourite dishes would fall flat. If you said - ONION, you're right! Because it's affordable, it's Canadian, it stores beautifully, it's the foundation of almost everything we cook and it's likely get it on sale this time of year!
